Angeli e Borgogni

 

Davide Angeli (Castel San Pietro Terme, 1982) began his professional career in 2004 after meeting Italian master of design Michele De Lucchi. With him he develops products, corporate identities, architectures and exibitions with the multidisciplinary approach typical of Studio De Lucchi. He develops the graphic design for various companies, including Ferrari, Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Popolare Italiana etc. He creates exhibitions for the Neues Museum in Berlin, the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, La Triennale in Milano, La Reggia di Venaria Reale in Turin, the Fondazione Cini in Venice, the Caixaforum in Madrid. He design furniture and lighting systems for Kartell, Guzzini, Domodinamica, Produzione Privata, Caimi Brevetti, Riva 1920 etc. He designs interiors for Moschino, Superstudio, Zambon etc. While working at Studio De Lucchi he cooperates with other relevant Italian advertising company such as Oliviero Toscani Studio and Trivio Quadrivio. Since 2008 he is professor of Industrial Design at the European Institute of Design in Milan. In 2013 he has been appointed with the Top Young Italian Industrial Designer Award by La Fondazione NY. Andrea Borgogni was born in 1981 in Arezzo – a medieval town rich in tradition and craftsmanship. The context was ideal for the development of Andrea’s imagination during childhood, and lead him to investigate how and why objects can be designed. In 2004, he graduated from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan. His thesis project was featured by Piquadro as an example of research and product development. In 2005, his Lamborghini design won the ‘Master in Car Design’award with Lamborghini. He has worked in different fields of design, from car design modelling to product design. In 2011, he opened his own studio in Milan. In 2012 Andrea won the ‘Discovering Award’ in Milan and the Red Dot design award for his folding chair "Ladu" In 2013 Salone del Mobile in Milan, he received the ‘Salone Satellite Award Special Mention’ from a distinguished international jury for his prototype. He received another Red Dot Design Award: Best of the Best for his casted alluminium chair "Maybe". The German Design Council appointed him with the (Interior Innovation Award) IIA Award 2014 for his chair “Tremenda” manufactured by Riva1920 in Italy.
