Leonardo Fortino

Leonardo Fortino was born in 1986 in Crotone, where he studied chemistry and where he started collaborating, since he was young, with an artist thanks to whom he got interested in painting and sculpture. His passion for materials and his interest for art, led him to move to Rome to graduate in Industrial Design in 2009 at “La Sapienza” University. In the same year he founded “Spigoli Vivi” studio, dealing with auto production and installations. Moreover, in 2013 he established “Leonardo Fortino Design Studio”, collaborating with companies and private clients on product, interior and graphic design. He got selected to get part to Italian and international workshops and in 2017 he decided to leave Rome to move to Milano where he started working with architecture firms and companies, with a focus on R&D, product design and art direction. His design method starts from the idea, from feelings and colors. He likes to experiment, to merge different experiences, combine materials and finally simplify. His works got displayed in many places like La Triennale di Milano, Il salone del Mobile di Milano, Tent London, Cafa Art Museum and other International galleries.
