Marco De Masi

He got his human and work experiences between social business activities, no-profit and collaborations with design studios, companies and artisans. Thanks to these activities and he has been published on the ADI Index, he competed for the Compasso d’Oro and, as assistant designer, he could win the German Design Award, the International Desing Award and the European Product Design Award.
His design is inspired by simplicity addressed with the right poetics, using metaphors that express both functions and qualities of each product. Take advantage of the creative process starting from the concept, using the preparatory drawings and the prototypes, finding stimulating and useful for the project to work inside factories and laboratories. Only by being in close contact with the workers and craftsmen the product can be developed according to the technical needs and production needs.

Matura la sue esperienze umane e lavorative avvicendandosi tra attività di social business, ONLUS e collaborazioni con studi di design, aziende ed artigiani. Grazie alle quali è stato pubblicato sull’ADI Indesx, ha partecipato al Compasso d’Oro e, come assistente designer, ha potuto vincere il German Design Award, l’International Desing Award e l’European Design award.
La sua è una progettazione di ispirata semplicità che viene affrontata con la giusta poetica, utilizzando metafore che possano esprimere al meglio le funzioni e le qualità di ogni prodotto. Sfrutta tutto il processo creativo partendo dal concept, utilizzando i disegni preparatori e i prototipi, trovando stimolante ed utile al progetto lavorare all’interno delle fabbriche e nei laboratori. Solo stando a stretto contatto con gli operai e gli artigiani si può sviluppare il prodotto seguendo le necessità tecniche e le esigenze della produzione.
